Error opening the Project Plan in Project Professional from PWA

Users were getting below error while opening the project plan in Project Professional from PWA.

Error: Project cannot open the file

•     Check that the file name and path are correct
•     Check that the file format is recognized by Project

Project files saved in a version earlier than Microsoft Project 98 can’t be open

Resolution: Issue was related to Internet explorer setting. The protected mode for IE Trusted Zone was enabled. To resolve the issue we need to disable the protected mode using below steps.

•     Open Internet explorer
•     Select Tools >> Internet Options
•     Select Security >> Click on the zone which contains PWA URL
•     Uncheck enable protected mode
